My "little" girl is 21 today!

Where is the time, the memory of the day she arrived in our family, coming all the way from India.......!

Right before we got her (at the cafetaria of the airport). She is the little girl with the red in her dress

At home, 2 days later

Today, on her 21st birthday, with Inka

She is very beautiful. I remember just the other day it seemed she turned 16. Tell her happy birthday from me!

Do you mean the man on the left?? No no, that is just one of the team who travelled with this group of kids from India to Belgium! That man is laying his hand on the head of another adopted kid, a little 4 year old.
This view is the first thing we saw of Indra & the other arriving kids; few minutes later they started calling the names of the adoptive parents (like us) one by one; that's the moment where we got our daughter in our arms for the very first time, to love and to hold forever

I am taking that picture, with Bernard and Jo waiting just behind me, so we're not on the picture.

ps.Bernard's dad died when Bernard was only 20 months old.....
