    That is so amazing that Jessica is a donor match for Sam. Wow... That is a huge fear as an adoptive parent. The "what ifs" in that kind of medical situation. Prayers for all of them...

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but family doesn't have a greater probability of being a donor match than someone from the general public. I guess that family is tested first because donating one or part of your organs is a life changing commitment.

    My prayers are with them.

    Yes, family often more likely a match, but Sam was adopted from China. What a blessing that her adoptive mother is a match.

    Read Sam's story - she is the adopted daughter of Jessica. Its an amazing thing that Jessica is the match.

    If anyone follows the post on the Care Pages...I just wanted to let you know the surgery was delayed, and did not start at 745 am. As of 9 am, it hadn't yet begun. But, since my mom hasn't called with an update yet, I am presuming the surgery is underway by now.

    Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
