You are aware that you can switch companies at any time during the policy period? You simply get a return of unearned premium in the event you paid ahead.

You could switch on day 1, day 50, day blah blah blah...

Oh sure - I know. It's just that my new rates don't go into effect till 10/19, and if I switch, I want to do it before then.

Another thing I read in Progressive reviews, some people got charged for canceling, or did not get back the full amount that was due them. Don't know how they get away with what they do...
