An arrest has been made -

Ypsilanti police say they caught the naked man who stole children's books from the Ypsilanti District Library last week.

The man is jailed, and police are seeking charges of indecent exposure, larceny from a building, and felony resisting and obstructing.

Police said the man, who is on parole, was identified today.

He is accused of entering the library branch on Michigan Avenue last Thursday and asking an employee for help selecting children's books. The employee told police she returned to her desk, and the man stepped out from behind a bookcase naked.

The man "thrust his hips in the direction" of the woman, but didn't make any other movements toward her, the release said. He fled as she called police.

Officers went to the suspect's home today, but he wasn't there, so they left a business card, the release said. The man showed up at the Ypsilanti Police Department at about 3 p.m.

But when he was asked to step into the back of the station from the lobby, the man bolted, the release said. Officers gave chase and caught him in the 400 block of Ferris Street.

The man was questioned and was then transported to the jail to await arraignment, police said.

Police officials did not have additional details this evening, including how the man was identified or his previous conviction.

Did you steal green eggs and ham?
Did you, did you, Naked Man?
A drawing was made of your 'naked' face
Then they sent the police to your place!

We know you did it, that you stole,
Children's books! You are on Parole!
You weren't home, a little evasion?
Please show up at the police station!

Did you steal green eggs and ham?
Did you, did you, Naked Man?
    Larceny and resisting with exposure?
This case needs a little closure!

Justice is swift and often blind?
But, the ugly truth is in our mind!
    Naked man, books in hand!
You thrust you hips and then you ran.

Did you steal green eggs and ham?
Did you, did you, Naked Man?
Your crime spree turned EPIC FAIL!
Now you'll spend time, again in jail!

Did you steal green eggs and ham?
Did you, did you, Naked Man?

    You rhyme Ypsilanti?

    Thanks for editing that line.

When I 'channel' The Good Doctor?

It literally runs/spills out of my head and I have to write it down quickly, or I forget.
I think faster than I type so there are errors!

I was hoping you wouldn't mind the correction. . .English Major + compulsive behavior and I couldn't let it stand without the "r" in "your".

But what's a little "r" among friends, right?

I can rhyme "truck" no problem what so ever!

I just ripped off the format and suited it to my sick mind. I wish they gave out Nobel Prizes for dirty limericks!

After reading those two poems, how can I read Green Eggs & Ham to my grandson without laughing through the whole thing. Maybe I should read the poems to him first & then the book? We can both have a good laugh.
