Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
LES here too. Tubby's final resting spot looks beautiful; that it's Goofy sanctioned makes it even better. RIP sweet Tubby. You are missed and never will be forgotten.
Such a sweet memorial but definitely made me teary eyed.
We miss you Tubby.
From Decker with Love
What a very special gesture, Debbie. I know that Tubby is grinning at you, Terry, your parents, and especially his buddy, Goofy, right now.Seems appropriate that a kitty would escort you while you laid Tubby's body to rest. What a beautiful spot.

Debbie,
I've come back to this thread a half a dozen times to post but each time I had to back out of it. This is so very difficult for me. I think it's because of the whole "spreading of the ashes" thing. It reminds me too much of when I let my Dad's ashes go, except we were in a boat and just let the wind carry his ashes to the water he loved the most.![]()
Here come the tears again but I need to forge on this time.
It must have been such an emotional weekend for you...and just look at little Goofy...making sure Tubby gets to see all of his secret hideouts and special spots in the woods. I just know that Tubby will be keeping a close watch on Goofy until they can meet again. Dear Lord I just read Phred's post and now I'm a total blubbering idiot.![]()

I've got to end this now.
{{{hugs}}} Debbie. Just remember, your shadow follows you everywhere.
luv always

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

What a sweet memorial to Tubby.

What a wonderful send off you gave to our beloved Tubby. He has such a nice place to hang out in the Spring.
Goofy is a dear as well. How nice he was there for the send off.

...RIP, our sweet Gini...
Dear Debbie,
What a sweet and touching memorial service you held for Tubby.
It is somehow so fitting that Goofy would be right there to supervise and take care of the details. He will be having some grand times with his buddy Tubby.
Cats know so many things that we cannot even fathom!
Thank you for sharing this very personal and difficult moment with all of us. You know that we were all right there with you in spirit.
Just as Tubby is with you now........................
xxoo Gini
*sigh* I saw this when you first posted but just couldn't respond. I cry everytime I open this thread!
That is a beautiful spot for Tubby's ashes to rest. How nice it will be to have Goofy come and visit. He is a cutie.
Boy, Tubby sure is missed so much by so many. It's amazing how you can get to know and fall in love with an animal just from pictures and stories. Tubby will always be missed and loved by all his friends.
{{{{HUGS}}}}
Thank you all so much. I miss Tubby so much, but I know he's in a better place now and having fun with Goofy. He always loved the woods so much and could sit and watch the squirrels for hours.
It's also comforting to know that so many around the world loved him and miss him also. It really is amazing how attached we can get to kitties we've never even met.
Thanks and {{{hugs}}} to you all.![]()
