I've been creating so many threads lately.. sorry guys.![]()
Does anyone know the difference between the Canon PowerShot A510 and the A520? I've heard many people prefer the A510 over the 520.. but I'm not sure why.
Any clues why?

From what Steve's Digicams site says (http://dpreview.com), the A510 is 13% smaller and has a longer lens

I think I have the 520...not sure and I'm not home at the moment to see.
I love Fenway, JoJo, Olivia and Nonnie!
The A510 is 3 megapixel and the A520 is 4 megapixel.![]()

I'm a big fan of www.dcresource.com and look what I happened to miss:
"If you're trying to decide between the A510 and A520, note these tradeoffs. The A520 will let you make larger prints and gives you more flexibility when cropping your photos. However, images are slightly noisier, especially at high ISO sensitivities. Also, the frame rate in burst mode is slower than on the A510 since there are more pixels to deal with in each photo. Remember: more pixels does not mean better photo quality!"
There's my summary right there.![]()

I 100% agree with that paragraph. That's what most people don't understand about digi cams. Higher MP doesn't necessarily mean better pictures. And a nicer camera won't automatically make someone a better photographer. It's all in technique, knowing your camera, and how you use it!![]()
