tornados and scared puppies

the county i live in has had a tornado warning since 8:00am this morning. it's going to continue until 11:00pm. there have been atleast 3 tornados in my area so far and the "Big Storm" is getting ready to hit in about half an hour. my whole family, including all the animals, have spent most of our day in the basement.

you all should see us smushed in a wad.hehe. 6 people and 6 animals all in the corner of our basement. right now we are taking potty breaks for the dogs. please keep us in your prayers for the next hour or so that the storm doesn't scare the pups too much.

Stay safe!! We have severe weather warnings for my area, too. It's supposed to storm but hasn't yet, though it is SO WINDY out right now.

Just remember that if your pups are stressing out or acting scared during the storm, DO NOT coddle them or baby them. It's hard, I know, but you have to ignore the behavior

Actually comforting them will reassure their fear of storms in general.. so you'd have a bigger problem on your hands.

But the main thing is that you stay safe!

There are lots of Tornados warnings here near us, too, but not exactly next to us, but we are going to have a BAD storm. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers. ((HUGS))
