    barky influence?

my 10 week old miniature schnauzer puppy is a queit pup.. at least up to now, i'll be leaving for a 10 days trip overseas and am considering boarding kennel. i am curious as to whether other dogs .. if there are any barky ones will influence him to become a barky dog? please advise.

    Home sitter instead?

Do you have a Petsitter that can come to your home? I would recommend looking into that service. They can check your mail, water plants, and take care of the dog. The prices are reasonable. Mine was about $20 a day with 4 dogs and a cat.
My dogs have been boarded or came from dog pounds and they do not tend to bark. Some breeds are more prone to barking than others. The dog may bark for a few days but once it is settled back at home it should be okay. Dogs tend to bark like a babies cry. Usually something wrong or needs attention. My barkiest dog barks if left outside or at the cat. He's deaf but a quick pat will soothe that.
    Have a good trip!!!
