I spent the last two weeks with friends and family. Some of you may remember my sister who's screen name is TigerBlossom. On Christmas Eve, her dog was killed. Kemo was a darling, and deserves a tribute.
He was 9 and a half years old, a golden boy, a mix of Chow and German Shepherd -- fun loving, devoted to his people, and a champion to the neighborhood kids. He was named for the Lone Ranger -- Kemo Sabe.
Christmas Eve, the next door neighbor's brother's dogs, who were visiting for the holiday found a weak spot in the fence, and came into our yard. Several of us heard the fight, but thought it was at a distance... When we found Kemo, he was hurt badly. We got his to the vet and it was thought he could be saved. Sadly, the injuries, shock, and his advancing years conspired against him. A little less than two hours later we were told he'd died.
I thought I had his photo with me, it's on the other disk. I'll post it tomorrow. He was a good, lovable boy.
