Carving Pumpkins - let's see yours!!!

Hi everyone! I'm having a really crappy day so I thought I would lighten my mood and ask about pumpkins!

How many of you have carved or will carve a pumpkin this year? If you have already carved, please post a picture!

I haven't carved mine yet, that will happen this weekend, but this is my pumpkin from last year! Sergei was the inspiration for this one!
    LOL

I'm sad to say that I haven't carved a pumpkin in 9 years. The last one I carved was when I lived in New York. You could get even the biggest pumpkin for a dollar. Down here an average pumpkin is about $10, so I don't get one.

Oh Karen! What artistry! Before the move...I would buy a pumpkin every year to carve and the squirrels would get to it before me.

I've never done one as clever as yours however!

Ditto. We bought one before we left on vacation. Come back to find little holes chewed all over it. I don't know if it's the squirrels or the chipmunks. Guess those particular spots will be good ones to carve through - which will be done this weekend.

I'm not particularly creative either. Somehow I missed out on the creative genes in the family so I could never come up with something as nice as yours Karen. This is one I did quite a few years ago, but I really don't get much more creative than this.

Halloween is my most favorite holiday. I'm like a little kid when it comes to Halloween. But I HATE carving pumpkins! I buy pretty pumpkins for decorations. I do not carve them which is nice because they last until Thanksgiving. I buy those foam like pumpkins that looks real for the carved pumpkin effect.

    Thank you Wolfie!

I just realized that I haven't bought a pumpkin yet! This is the first year I haven't bought one in years!!!

I think I'm ready to just skip over Halloween & Thanksgiving and get straight to Christmas!!! That's my favorite holiday!

Me too! I love the foam ones with lights in them. I've had one of them since we moved here 6 years ago!

Good job carving! I've never carved a pumpkin !!! I've wanted to though, since I've seen alot more websites and carvings. Some of them are spectacular. You can get the tracings from the net and directions, I should give it a shot one year.
