Why Does God Let This Happen

This morning on my way to work I saw a small brown dog
that had been evidently hit by a car & was lying dead in the road.
Cars were slowing up and driving around the body. As I got close
enough, I could see it was a puppy about my Maggie's age.(4mo)
This poor pup was so thin, you could see it's hips protruding
through the skin. Last night was near freezing here, and all I
could think of was how miserable her/his last night on earth must
have been. How scared ,hungry & frightened it must have been.

I don't know, it just doesn't seem right, it's not fair. I pass that way everyday coming to work & going home too. Why did
I not see her/him before & I could have done something.

I doubt you could have done anything as like you mentioned,, you didnt see him/her before.. Life can be very cruel and harsh... but take solace in knowing that lil one most likely went VERY quickly and is now running about happily, tummy full and loving every second at the RB....

At least you know the little puppy is no longer cold or hungry.
If you would have found her/him in time, you would have helped the pup out. But you never saw her/him, It's not your fault.

Play hard sweet brown puppy, you are now free from the pain of this cold cruel world. Play hard sweetheart... and please know that not all humans are bad!

    Because you saw her
    After her pain was over
    But loved her you did
    Compassion filling your heart
Know that she, sweet brown and bouncy
Will meet you some day at the Rainbow Bridge
Rest and play, little brown sugar baby
    You've earned your wings
    And now you are free.
