    Simon Cowell! :D

I never watched Pop Idol and didn't know much about the guy except for a little I'd seen and read about him. His appearance a while ago on Celebrity Millionaire and the fact he gave his share of the winnings, £16,000 (around $26,000) to Battersea Dogs Home did endear him to me, but it is his latest show The X Factor that has made me a like him a lot.

I know he can be obnoxious but he is honest, at least says what he thinks even if it is without any frills. ...
I think I like that because that is how my husband was, he could be charming but brutely honest when he felt he needed to be. My son is the same.

I think I will set a poll to see who likes him or not, just for fun.

P.s. Look at the Photo Gallery at the X Factor site to see pictures of when Sharon poured a glass of water on his head.

I like him. He says what he thinks, even if he knows it won't be popular opinion. Obviously he's been doing something right being as he's a gajillionaire. And he makes me laugh. Now if he'd just share some of his money with me...

I also think Simon is great, yes sometimes he can be a bit brutal and I don't always agree with him, but he is honest, and that I admire in anyone, to be honest he made the show IMO,(IDOL) without him it would have been boring, paula got on my nerves, she was so nicey nicey.

I have not seen this latest show, but have heard about it, so I guess we will get it here later on, I will certainly watch because Simon is on it.

On Australian Idol there is a similar guy called Dicko, I love him too.

Our judges here just did not do it for me, and I found our Idol the most boring of the lot.
BRING HIM ON, love ya Simon!!!!

Have to admit it, I secretly like Simon... a lot! He definitely "makes" the show here. And I guess I'm attracted to that "brutally honest but charming type;" I married one And like my husband, I think Simon's a REAL mush at heart!

I like Simon.. I used to see him as too honest and not agree with the way he puts things but he makes the show and he's the only judge that I would take seriously.

I adore Simon. He's the only one who's willing to tell it like it is and not sugar coat things. I think he's striking a chord with people because a lot of us feel we've grown to become too polite or politically correct out of fear of hurting someone's feelings. he doesn't care--- he's brutally honest and says things we'd only dream of saying. I love it!

If Simon supports rescue, then I support him!!!! I've only watched American Idol one time, and it was because my daughter begged me....Barry Manilow was the guest, so I can't really add much on what I think of him. But if he's a pet supporter, then I support him!!!

I like him a lot. He can be rude, but I think some of it may be an act for television. He is probably the reason our American Idol had such good ratings.

I agree with most of what he says. I would say things nicer myself, but he is usually right on. And sometimes it can be funny how grumpy he is.

There was an article in a Us magazine awhile ago how Simon was the first person who called Ryan Seacrest offering his condolences when Ryan lost one of his jobs.

I quite like him Chris -[ I know he gets lots of flack from the press etc. But I'm enjoying The X Factor - some of those people have had me falling on the floor - tears streaming down my face - their soooooo bad!! Good grief there's some talent thought isn't there?

Yes he's really truthful and maybe - just maybe sometimes he plays to the camera - listening to some of those acts you can't blame him can you? At least he's truthful and doesn't suffer fools gladly.

I think Sharon's funny - did you see Saturday when she had Ozzie's sisters on? Wasn't Simon charming? Though he had no idea until she told him - who they were!!

    Where's the "he's hot!" choice?

I have a secret little crush on him and is probably the only reason I watched American Idol
