    Eagle Graphic..drawing -updated-

Holy. You would NOT believe how long I've spent on this, and it's not even half done. I wanted to finish it tonight and show you, but my finger is soo sore..I'm not sure it's turning out the way I want, but I'm kinda experimenting. Not sure if you can tell or not, but I drew out each little line or 'feather' as they're suppost to be..I took 2 diff colors and drew little lines and such then blended them with the bg color. I have no clue how to do feathers so yeah. I think I'm most proud of the eye I hate doing eyes, but this one turned out ok I think. Anywho I still have A LOT of work to do (like blending the diff colors together more) Tell me what you think??

I think the head is the only really finished part..

That's cool! I also love eagles. My dad has a Harley-Davidson, and he has a flag, with an eagle ripping through it... it's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!

    That's awesome!

It looks great so far ... it will come up beautiful when it is done. The feathers will be painstaking, no doubt, as you will have to use very, very fine "brushstrokes!" There are ways around it, like keeping the image fairly dark so not much detail is required except on the edges of the image for example, but it's quite difficult. I've never really worked with electronic media, nor have I drawn anything in a very long time so I really wouldn't know!

Please show us the finished product when it is done!

As you might know, doing each individial hair/feature took forever! So about half way threw I got lazy and made my own brush that had multiple lines/dots on it to make it a little faster Anywho I like it, don't think it turned out fully the way I wanted but its all good

sry the images are so big. They arent big in kb though

I've tried to look at this a couple of times but my computer wouldn't load the pic......

On another computer now. Wow, that looks amazing!!! I just love it! Great job! I especially like the eye! Hey, how do you go about making your own brush? I've seen the feature, but never actually tried doing it.

And I feel your frustration on doing the feather/lines.....I once drew this pic of wolf pups when I was bored in my video editing class. I had one of those wacom (sp?) tablets so it was easier then a mouse, but still a pain.

Here's the pic......it was a couple of years ago that I did it......haven't even attempted anything like it since!!

Wow Amy, thats soooo good! I love it

And thanks I like the eye too hehe. All I did to made the brushes was make a new image around 10-20 px depending on how big you want it..I wanted it smaller. Also make it transparent. I just drew the brush and go Edit - define brush and its done

Try doing it with the 'ball' mouse for a laptop lmao it kills the finger...I want to try something more furry next..fur seems easier to come across then feathers as you can see from my attemp
