    Back from the USA

Oh yeah, we had a great holiday:

We could get up early in the morning (thanks to jet lag)

We were sure that saguaros only exist in cowboy novels but no: they are real:

    They have so beautiful flowers:

    We met friendly natives:

and Pet Talk friends (this is Andrea -Kona&Oreo's mom and me)

And we brought these wonderful dishes for our sweeties here that are made by Bunny (Catsn'clay)-aren't they absolutely cute?

Tigris and Filou are very fine. They don't let us alone and I had more kitty kisses then ever since yesterday.

Some (not too many) more pictures are here:

Of course Siegmar (the one with the cat T-shirts) took 26 films with analogue pix. But usually it takes a month or so until they are framed, named and sorted........

We just loved it- it was gorgeous.

Wow, those cactus are HUGE! And what pretty flowers they have!

I'm glad you had a great time over there and met some friendly natives of all sorts.

The "I don't do mornings" t-shirt would be just perfect for John! LOL!

Looking forward to see the rest!

Glad you had a great time and glad you are back! Isn't it funny (or maybe it is just me...) I don't think of my own country as a tourist destination and yet there are fabulous things to see -- as you did!

Welcome home/back! I'm glad you had such a good time and were able to meet some fellow PT'ers.

I'm sure you probably heard this, but the Saguaro doesn't get it's first "arm" until it is at least 100 years old! So that one you found must have really been ancient! If only it could talk. We have a friend who lives around Phoenix and he said that if they are going to build anything - strip malls, etc. - the contractors have to actually dig up and relocate any saguaros that are on the property. It's not good enough for them to cut them down and plant others somewhere else to replace them because they grow so slowly that if the old ones were cut down it would be forever before they got as big again as the one in your picture.

When I see a Saguaro, that tells me that I am really in the wild, wild West.
