Well, I think we have a new family member. Mom and I have fallen in love with him...the only problem is Dad has no clue this kitten exists. He is out of town until next Monday. I am sure he'll love the cat, he is such a softy, but tends to hide it.Nobody could hate this orange fluff ball! We decided to call him Sammy.
The story of how we ended up with him is kind of odd and silly. We were at the pet store looking around for rattie goods (hehe), and a lady walked up to us and asked if this pet store took animals. We asked her about the kitten, and she said she found him on the side of the road, and looked all around for the mom kitty, but she wasn't anywhere to be found. Mom and I thought he should be taken to the humane society instead of a pet store, so we said we'd take him to HAWS. She said ok, and gave us her name and number. So we got home, to find out that all the humane societies were closed. We got a hold of one humane society and they gave us some helpful tips. We went out and bought him some kitten replacement milk (we already have bottles), and gave him a little bath...he had some poo on his fur. Turns out he's not as young as we thought, and has enjoyed some soft food already tonight, but he still likes his kitten milk.
