It seems to me that Friend is crossed with a sheperd. We have a little Lab-Sheperd cross. I firmly believed she was not crossed with Lab because of her size but it turns out she is. She also has the skinny snout and smaller ears than a lab but she has all the sheperd markings. She is almost 3 and she is still only 50 pounds, a great compliment to our 100 lb Golden Retriever. She looks like a sheperd puppy!!
Friend is defenitely a sweetie pie and she is very lucky to have owners like you.
