    Nekkid baby...introducing,

    Finnigan (or Oliver, Charlie, ??? oh I don't know yet!)

    He is not home yet, hopefully sometime next week. I am pretty insecure about getting a kitten so soon after Piper's passing. I am not trying to replace her. Not at all.

    He's cute. Do you know much about this breed? Seems like they require special care being hairless. I've never owned one or been around one but I've read some of the posts from the few people here that have them.

    Are you definitely going to get him? You know there are lots of cute kittens at shelters that need homes and are hardy and healthy and don't need special care.

    Honestly I'm happy for you either way but just wondering if you are set on buying a certain breed or if you'd consider adopting a shelter kitty. I'm always for saving a life at a shelter. Please don't feel I'm picking on you, just had to throw in my "rescue" two cents.

    Don't worry- I am not offended. I am definitely getting him, his flight is being book as I type.
    This breed does require special care. He gets weekly baths, his nails are cleaned regularly, etc I could go on but would not want to bore anybody! I have actually been looking and researching the Sphynx breed for years now, and was on the hunt for one until I found Piper. With Piper's passing, I decided to stick with my original plan.

    The first thing I thought of when I saw the title of this thread is, Where's Moosmom?! She's been here, I see! I'm bad at names, so I'll just say, hello there, kitty - welcome! What striking ears you have! I've read that Sphinx (or Sphynx? I"m not sure!) cats feel like soft suede. Maybe your purr-son will confirm that for me
