    Dog Breed info...

Maybe this is old news, but...

If you have cable TV, check to see if they carry the channel "Animal Planet". Its by the Discovery channel folks.

One of the shows is called "Breed All About It" and each 1/2 hour features one of 150 dog breeds. They include pros and cons, behavior, size, health, etc. You can even buy videos of the various breeds.

I don't have cable, but look forward to watching the Animal Planet channel when I visit a good friend. Check with your cable provider, and ask for Animal Planet.

Thats one of my favorite shows, I loved the ones on the Beagle, Giant Schnauzers, the pionters, the Boston Terrier, and I can't remember the name of the breed but the look a little like a German Wirehaired Pointer, they were doing a hunt test or something where they had to find the bird and retrieve a stick from the water ???? I don't know what Im talking about If anyone remembers the show can you tell me the breed please ...lol..

Animal Planet also has a great new show about Animal Control Officers, you ride along with them on rescues. Its like the show Cops. Its pretty good to.

    Ilovehounds,

How do you get Animal Planet? I was told we couldn't get it in Canada.

I wish I had cable, my friend and I used to watch it at her house. That is the kind of show that should be on the basic channels, maybe even the whole channel be a basic one. If I had cable I would tape every one so that I can get more info. on that breed!!! I also like watching the agility trails on Animal Planet. The dogs are so pretty and graceful.

Tanya we have an Amarican Satilite Dish. We get all the Amarican programs. I LOVE IT. They should sell them somewhere in Ottawa, dad picked up ours so I have no idea where he got it. It doesn't cost much more then cable T.V does. Sorry but thats the only way we can get it here
