    Recipe help

I'm going to try my hand at chocolate fondue. I found a recipe that calls for 1/2 cup whipping cream along with marshmallows and chocolate. Can I substitute something else for the whipping cream? We won't use up a whole container and I would hate to spend the money and then waste it. I was thinking maybe milk, cool whip, or half and half.

I don't know that you can substitue anything, but what you can do (and I have done in the past) is freeze the rest - I put a tablespoon at a time into compartments in an ice cube tray, then froze it that way, so I could thaw out however many tablespoons I needed for the next time.

    That's a great idea- I don't know why I didn't think of that! Thanks!
