I heartely despise and loathe people who shoot cats. So, if I feel like shooting guardians who dump their aging pets at shelters, am I a very nasty person also?!

Is anyone else in tears at their keyboard as they look at all these cats in dire need from Melissa and Jen?

Unfortunately people die and their "loving" relatives just don't care about the pets that they promised to look after if anything happened to their owners. It's a sad reflection on how they really felt about their relatives too.

I agree with G535.People just are so ignorant.Only care about themselves.
How old are these cats?Old cats should NEVER be dumped like this!!
Mike said NO on taking them. But if they were seperated in anothewr room it's possible.I don't know.I wish someone else here on pettalk would take these nice cats in.

There's you, with 17, worried about the Persians and tempted. And here's me, with 18, worried about the Siamese in NM and battling temptation. I'm taking cats to the vet pretty much every other day, I had oatmeal for lunch, I know I can't take in any more, but I hate to think of their lives lost.
