    Buddy update

Buddy flexible collar broke Looks like Jessika was right. My mom told me it wasn't flimsy though. I've been taking him for daily walks but he still runs away, and sometimes comes back to his name. I am working on training him and he is getting better. Just wanted to give you all an update!

He is! All the treats he's getting... it's heaven for him. I feel guilty not giving him any attention earlier in his life

Sorry to hear that his new collar broke, but I am glad to hear that you are working more with him. I am sure it will be fun for both of you. Keep up the good work.

If his collar keep breaking you can use a choak chain as a collar without the choaking part Go to the hardware store & get something that looks like this,

BUT instead of that hing thing, get the one that screwes (so he cannot get it off). It should be where the nails are kept in the store.

Don't loop the choak chain, just put the chain around his neck & attach the thingy. He wont be able to break that Just make sure the choaker isn't too long or he can slip it off his head

For years I had a non choak chain on Max, only cause his collars were choaking him & causing him to barf. I didn't need that screw thing, as Max wasn't a puller & it was only for his tags. Then he developed a sore back & neck & I remove it & we was always naked hehe

After Buddy is fully trained you can put pretty collars on him

those things suck, thats why I recomemded the screwing kind.. its made to support the weight of a trailer hooked up to a car/truck. They come in small to HUGE so a 1-2 inch thingy will do & wont be heavy for the dog.

Mine is made to support the full pulling strength of a Rottweiler, so I am pretty certain that it would be safe to use on Buddy. It screws up on the leash and the collar, so there is no way it will come undone. Sometimes my soon-to-be hubby doesn't screw it up and it still doesn't come undone.
