This even makes me laugh.......but I was curious - does anyone else play the lottery?

I don't all of the time, but sometimes when the "pot" gets a bit higher, I will play.

I got so excited, I won $11.00 last night. Now what to do with all of that money?

I play every once in a while if I'm feeling lucky or it's a high jackpot. However I don't think I've ever won more than three dollars. We had a pool at work once, everyone pitched in $5, I think we had around $75 tickets total. Our grand prize....$3.

nope, but on my b-day I'll buy 2 scratch & win Bingo tickets, I'll keep playing until I loose my 6 bucks or until I made more then 3 buscks off a ticket (I pocket anything over 3.00 in winnings)

Your chance of winning the jackpot is always infinitissimally low, but I understand it gets even lower when the jackpot is really huge, because so many more people buy a ticket.

I don't buy it individually but I'm in a lottery pool at work. 13 of us pitch in $52.00 each for the year and we play the same numbers every week. Sometimes we will win free tickets so that extends it at bit. Have not won anything major yet.

You know, I just had to edit this. All I really want is $200,000. I'm not greedy....that would give me enough to pay off my mortgage, buy a new car and replace the carpet and furniture in my condo. What's left over I can invest. The last think I would want is to win "big". It's just too much to comprehend and I'm sure I would have friends and relatives showing up that I never knew I had.

I won $50 on a scratch ticket once and was soooooooooo thrilled. You'd think I won a million dollars.

I buy when I am where they sell the tickets...which is not to often. I wish I could remember to buy a ticket weekly but just can't remember... My DREAM is to win the big one and open a shelter for strays but in a normal house so they can live in a home inviroment. But I am not greedy either, winning anything would be a blessing (I think).

We play the Powerball, periodically. Recently, I bought $10 worth of numbers and got a $12 return.........not exactly what I was looking for, as the Powerball was worth $350 Million, but it was better than nothing! LOL!!!

I buy 4 tickets each month, 1 for each Saturday draw. Most I have ever won was a tenner (£10) but as the saying goes, 'You've got to be in it to win it'.
