    Could 2006 Get Any Worse...

2006 has not been a good year for me/my family so far:

Jan 9 my husband's granny died
Jan 20 Miko, my ferret died
Feb 23 husband's truck broken into
Feb 25 took Sebastian, last ferret, to the vet, he is not eating kibble
Feb 27 mammogram, blood work back on Sebastian, not good, pick up meds
Feb 28 called back for 2nd mammogram
Mar 1 second mammogram, left side only
Mar 1 husband's truck broken into AGAIN
Mar 3 message to call doctor to make appointment right away
Today, March 6 waiting for doctor to open at 9 am to get appointment to find out what they found on the mammogram, nerves frayed

Sorry, I just needed to vent a little. I am stressed to the max. Thanks for listening.

Hopefully the most stressful part of 2006 is behind you, and the rest will be smooth sailing.

Things can only get better from this point on. Hugs to you!

    Thank you.

So I phoned the doctor and will see him at 1:30 today to get the mammogram results.

    (((hugs))))

I know eactly what you're feeling since that was what October 2005 to present looked like to me. I'm just starting to come out from under the grey cloud, so I promise things DO get back together!

I am hoping the test results reveal a sigh of relief.

The results now lead to a biopsy, sometime in the next week or two. I have a mass on the left side and the have no idea what it is. 80% chance it is nothing, 20% chance it is cancer. More stress, but I feel better because now I know what is going on and there is a plan in place.

I'm so sorry. I'm religious in a way that I don't go to church, but I do pray. I don't know what your views on religion are, but God only gives us what we can handle. When things seem too overwhelming I think about that and it helps. Also, in some ways you should be grateful because there are people with more problems than you. I hope those thoughts can comfort you.

I will be thinking about you and Sebastian. I hope everything will get better from now on.

Sorry things aren't going good for you. 2004 was bad for me, so I know what you are talking about.

Mine has been pretty stressed too. Want to run away together? It's getting a bit better. I hope your's does, too. I hope there's no bad news from the doctor. But, if there is, we are all here for you.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

I don't know if this will make you feel better or not, but you sound quite normal

Fatty tissue is the #1 cause for a mammogram to "look" suspicious. The next step is always an Ultrasound, then if they still cannot identify the problem, a biopsy is in order. That is done with really no pain or scars at all.

My sister and I go through this every year. My doctor knows now that when I set the appointment for my mammogram, we always have to set an appointment for an ultrasound too!

Please don't worry, this is quite normal, but do be grateful that your doctor is on top of things by planning the ultrasound and possible biopsy.

    Good luck to you!

My step Dad use to say all the time, "My Mother use to tell me "cheer up, things could get worse!" and sure enough, I'd cheer up and things would get worse!"

2005 was our families worst year ever but this year seems to be going better for us so far. I hope things get better for you.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Things continue to not work out well. The radiology place neglected to send my films to the specialist so I now have to wait another week for the biopsy to be booked. I'm trying not to be stressed, but since nothing is working out really well these days it is hard. I think my Sasha knows her mommy is stressed. Each night for the last couple of weeks my sweet doggie girl has come to bed with her mommy and given me the best snuggles ever. She is a very good girl.
