We came into some money
and I took him to the vet this morning,
the same vet that I talked to over the phone.
They took a look at him and
she said that if there had been an infection it was a minor one.
She gave him some oral antibiotics ...

"Today" and "this morning" mean SUNDAY ...

WHERE did you find a Vet open on Sunday?

The emergency vet that they have about 15 minutes from here...near the tri-city airport. They are open 7 days a week, 24 hours.

Yes we have vets open here on Sundays as well in lil ole Aotearoa, hope Jax is doing much better now, obviously he needed the vet treatment to properly heal. Good for you, glad you were able to get the money to take him.
