Kim, I love you and you know that! I've said it more than once, you are my hero!!!

    Just wanna clear my name here . . . I haven't been posting much lately . . . to anyone's threads . . . just been so busy . . . but I've been lurking and I completely understand where you're coming from.

Just remember that there are people here that completely respect what you're doing and understand that you've had to make some really tough decisions in the past few months.

Kim, I just posted in your thread about Abby and then found this. I really hope I'm not someone you think is judging you. I have been so busy this last couple of weeks that I have done a lot of lurking but hardly any posting.
Unless someone has sent you a PM or nasty email I really do hope you are overreacting. Spring has sprung and I think a lot of people are exceptionally busy right now so I hope that is the case.
Besides, you do what you do for your own personal reasons. You have done lots of good and wonderful things and I hope you continue to do so.
Do you really think that any of us really believed you were done with rescue? You needed a break and you took one. You have to take care of yourself first or there will be no rescue. Just be sure you don't put your health in jeapordy because you already know that "you can't save them all".

Take care of yourself and all those adorable furbabies. Don't worry about other people. As a matter of fact if most of us let a few get to us then none of us would be on PT ever again!

Judging you for taking in Redfur and Baxter????

I know that I personally jumped for joy. I'll admit to a little smug smile and a snicker (after all, you were "out of rescue" ) But I KNEW better. I was just waiting for the next success.

and If you want to look at postcounts on threads, than I am right there with you. I sometimes feel slighted that other people get dozens of responses and I get 5 or 6 ( from my loyal groupies....LOL) but that is just the way it is sometimes. I, myself, have come to do a lot of reading and less answering, due to time constraints.

I am going to admit something to you (if that is OK). At first, I found it hard to understand how you can say "THIS cat is a keeper" and then allow it to be adopted, but that is because that is not the way I do it. For me, once MINE, always MINE. But you see, once I figured out that this was just your "system" or your "terminology" or your "technique" (or whatever you would care to call it)....it is just your "WAY" and why should I be the one to think that is wrong. As a matter of fact, it might even be a BETTER "system" than my own. It sure is working, right?

So, you can't let the immature spoil your life. And you shouldn't allow the immature to take you away from the rest of us who love you.

Off to read your other thread.

Thank you ALL so much for your support and openness. Jen, I know that it appears to be wishy-washy with the "keepers" etc.... but people have to understand (or try to) that there are some that you just bond with more, and you hold on and hold on until one day, you realize that you are holding on out of selfishness, and you are actually holding that kitty BACK from a potential good home, where they are the one and only or one of very FEW kitties, and could get more attention! I know you and I and others here shower all of our kitties (no matter how many) with love and affection each and every day .... but couldn't most of us HONESTLY admit that some of them would prefer even more one on one, with less competition?

It's just all part of the rescue life, isn't it?

    Kim,i know,how you feelas if Itold,my Brother,and Sister,In Law,how many Cats,I have,they would probably call,the Humane Society,on me,especially My Sister In Law,who amkes sure,that I see every sad story,of Cat Hoarding,that happens,in the World.You,know,that you are Our Hero,and wahtever you do,you do,for the Good,Of The Cats.I have had,to make,that choice,as well,to rehome Hershey Bar,Franklin,Gary,Orangade,and that was tough,as I loved all,those Cats,but felt,taht they would be better,off elsewhere.Scrappy,2,I just fell,in love with,and I am keeping her.But if Karina,had no had FIV,and was adoptable,then I would not,have adopted Scrappy 2.As you say,Walk In Our Shoes,Please before you judge.And I just lie,to My Family,and say,that,I am down,to 6 Cats,if they ask.Kim,you are My Friend,and I hope,taht you can help,that Poor Blind Cat,as I did Ebony,the Cat,from the Reserch Lab,that the Cats saw,but I hardly ever did,Thank God,for Mr Scrappy,and Mr Fluffy,as they were with him a lot,as was The Princess!Keep,up the Good Woork,Kim,and We Love YOU!

I read as many posts as I can in a given time frame or day. I really enjoy everyones storys, seeing photos. There are allot of times I'm not knowledgeable on a particular subject to I wont post because I dont know and I hate to give out false information or times I dont have anything to add. Doesnt mean I'm not enjoying the post. I know when I see photos I always try to tell the poster
    "thanks for sharing".

I will third THAT. I have been on a 2-3 week "break" myself and much of it was licking wounds at darts aimed at Missy. (her nekkid belly fiasco) I quietly go away but always come back. The disagreements that happen sometimes just pierce my heart I am just yesterday and today trying to post again. I have read posts but not responded and hope you and my other friends do not feel slighted!!

I don't know what happened to you - your post is vague. If you got some nasty feedback - I would send it to Karen. I have had to do that before. It is also possible that you are being hypersensitive and seeing a slight that is not there. I have done that before myself - especially things about my kids. Also - lots of my posts go unanswered and disappear and that does not feel good but I do see the hit counts and know that people looked - and that is a good thing.
    Hugs,

I am just a rookie here according to my post count however, I have been here for a long time though, my Tinkerbelle was Cat of the Day in 2002.

I do observe a lot (probably why my post count is so low) I just enjoy reading about everyone's babies and seeing all the pictures, reading the stories and experiencing the fun everyone is having with them. I have also benefitted greatly from experience and help for all kinds of issues.

I doubly admire all of you ladies that take your Rescues seriously and to heart. Even I know enough from reading here what is involved and it's no small feat and the lengths you go to give an unfortunate kitty a new start.

And in anything in life, you gotta do what you gotta do and as much as possible, and it's not fair for anyone to judge anyone performing a kindness. Ever.

    Tess

Debbie, I think you are exactly right! Lord knows one of my biggest weaknesses is being overly sensitive, and a bit on the paranoid side! Don't tell my ex-husband I admitted this ..... he would never get over himself!!!

    Kim,
Though I have about two seconds to spare here, with Jonah in the high chair, K&L coming over soon, about fifty throw ups to clean up, five days of lunches to pack, and I need to brush my teeth- all in the next 30 minutes, I just wanted you to know you have my forever support! It is like many people have said.....I read most, but, just don't post as much as I would like to. Doesn't mean I am snubbing your threads.
    Love,
    Johanna

hey, even although I have NO idea why...when...where this happened that made you felt this way, I'm not surprised why you threaded this. I've been walking on enough eggshells in this site, resulted a low post hits since membered in 2002. I seem to say wrong things all the time but I know the truth(s) myself.

you were just telling out of your chest, and every people should hear the one feelings. I don't see anything wrong with that as long as you didn't name others, insulted others but for others who thinks you're letting one to push yourself away from all of us is a problem. ...because this is one site, and one is all!

don't worry, you can say whatever you want, because what goes around comes around, especially for the cats! (a great home they're gonna have). raise a judgemental for saving lives is wrongful...are you kidding me??? unless, obviously you did this for no reason.

I AM with kat (the first poster)!!! yup, off (lurking) to other of your thread and always...stay with some of us!
rest and sleep softly sweet locke..

No one here really knows me, I'm fairly new and don't post very much, but I will throw my two cents in and say that I agree with what everyone has said. What you do is wonderful. It would be wonderful if you took in one cat and that was it, or if took in 4-5 a week for years and years. Saving even one cat is something to be proud of, and if you need to stop doing that, for whatever reason, that's your decision, and your right. I admire you for how much you've given to our furry companions, and for ignoring what small minded people might think of your decisions. I hope to see more of your posts, and more pictures as well.

    Cheers,
    Dan
