Village not seen in 40 years Re Appears

Spain has a severe drought situation. Barcelona is shipping in water.

The Sau reservoir is so low that the village which was flooded when that was put in place is now reemerging.

Medieval church re-emerges as Spain ships in water
Visitors walk amid the remains of flooded village Sant Roma as it emerges from the low waters of the Sau reservoir, north of Vic near Barcelona, in this April 6, 2008 file photo. Perhaps the most striking image of Spain's drought, so severe it has forced Barcelona to ship in water, has been that of the underwater church which emerged from a drying dam. After proverbial April showers, reservoirs are now about 25 percent full but will have to provide for a hot, dry summer, so emergency measures may only have been delayed.

Interesting pictures and everything, but that level of drought must be scary, especially as Spain is a pretty dry country anyway. Here's hoping their weather pattern changes in a favorable way.

That is amazing. That building is so beautiful. I'm sorry about the drought but look at the beauty that came from it. I'd love to be there to see it and, of course, take many pics.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Wow, that is amazing!! I love old churches, they are so beautiful. I saw plenty in Italy. Spain must have a ton as well. Europe alone is known for that. Thanks for sharing! Me and my sister are planning a trip through Europe in four years. We are already planning! I hope they don't fall through...

We are in a long drought here in the American west as well. Many of the previously submerged native American ruins in Lake Powell are now visible as well.

I would like to see plans to move that lovely old church to higher ground while the water is low,
