Do you grow your own RICE, too?

You could do a pot of Rice Salad ... I ran out of the Findlay leftovers.

    YUMMIE it was, it was!

Mmmmm, I could go for some homemade baked beans. We've got sun right now but expecting thunderstorms later. How's about some cream of mushroom soup? I haven't had that in a while.

Richard, I'll have a bit of something mulled, just don't mull over it too long, lol.

And speaking of nuts, hows about some brownies with walnuts in 'em. That's usually a good comfort food when it's kinda miserable weather in our house.

Where do you live? I grew up on the Narragansett Bay-that sounds like home! I also used to frequent a place called the Narragansett Cafe, but...

In any case, Richard I LOVE limas but I have never had them with pork, either - it sounds good to me, and your drink recipe sounds perfect!!

Orc, serve some of that up and try not to wear too much!

It's so danged cold and rainy here that I want to make a New England staple: corn chowder. One batch full vegetarian (this does have cream) and one carnivore with bacon and shrimp!

I'll do some carnivore, in exchange for a drink?

    DONE!

    PM,
    Sweat pants!

I was really surprised at the flavor of the soup-I did put a tad too much salt into it though...I bought a ham steak and used that to make some pea soup a month ago....It was a Farmer John brand product, but the meat was rubbery...So I thought to try lima beans and some pork!

    One bowl and a drink...

    And a b-day cake!

    DONE!

    LOH,

A brownie in exchange for a Mulled? And some Mushroom soup!

    I am done mulling!

    DONE!

Last night I was out to pick up the paper at 4 a.m. the sky was totally clear and I thought we'd get some sun.....it's cloudy this morning!

    C&S,

    A 'mulled'?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulled_wine

It's a really neat way to drink wine and the same can be done to cider!

    Rice salad?

    DONE!

    CM,
    It has been miserable, cold.

    One mulled cider? DONE!

Hi, sorry I'm late, but life got in the way. I'm not usually a fan of lima beans, but cooking them with pork does sound petty good. I'll get the ceement mixer going (I was wondering, can you mull a slushie?). Orc, if you're done flinging lima beans around, I can use your help. There will be NO flinging slushies!

At least ROcky is enjoying the cool weather.

The sun finally came out, for the first time in 4 days. I think some iced coffee with a little Kahlua would taste really fine about now!

I know how ya feel Smokey, We've been getting rain off and on all week around here. Just when the sun's coming out things are starting to dry out the rain comes back. Although all this rain is good for my blueberries.

Richard can I get an ice coffee with Kahlua as well that sounds really good.

How's about some fresh broccoli right from my veggie garden it's not much but I'll share what I gotz.
