My most heartfelt sympathies on your great loss, StefanWhat a very special pup your Simba was and we all know the incredible saddness and emptiness you are feeling right now
Bloat comes on so suddenly and has such a high mortality rate, even with surgery. I understand that it's rare that a dog survies the surgery
I do think you did the right thing under the circumstances, though I know what a difficult decision to make that was. I wish it could have been different
Please take some small measure of comfort in remembering that during his liftetime, Simba was loved and cherished every moment of his life and that he left this earth, knowing that. Simba is healthy and whole now, waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. And one day, in the distant future, you and your beloved Simba will be reunited in love. Till then, hold onto those cherished memories and remember, he lives on in your heart. BIG hugs to you Stefan. Love, Sandra
