I think I remember bloat being one of the bigger concerns with dobies. Why do you ask?

Unfortunately yes. Here is link for a list of dogs that have a problem with bloat. Unfortunately it is a condition that I am all too familiar with. My RB standard poodle most likely died from bloat and my daughter's greater swiss mountain dog died from bloat. It is a terrifying thing to think about and I try not to dwell on it too much but as the mom of a standard poodle it is always in the back of my mind.

thanks for the link Pam. thankfully siberians aren't too prone to bloat. i'm still careful with Gracie simply because her great grandfather died of Bloat. sorry for your losses. i would hate to lose a dog to bloat.

IRescue452, i have always admired the doberman. i think they are a wonderful breed. i saw a doberman the other day and noticed it had a deep chest so i thought i'd ask.

I think you got your answer already. But just a reminder that any dog can get bloat, just some are more prone to it than others.
Look at sweet Lexi, lexi_lover's jack russel who just had bloat last week. Luckily they caught it in time.

Yes, and I think they bloat EASIER.
