I just called my vet this morning to ask about that for Rocky and Rumor. They said they will do it at 5-6 months of age and it's $82 to spay and $65 to neuter.

The shelter where I adopted Jazz and Scout runs a low cost spay and neuter in a neighboring county and they will do kittens as young as 12 weeks for $35. I just don't feel safe about it for some reason. They had already spayed Jazz when I adopted her at 14 weeks old and it blew my mind. I'm going to wait until R&R are 5 months and my trusted vet do it even though it costs more. I feel safer.

Okay I just called back to ask if they keep them overnight (they do) and this vet tech told me they will do the surgery as early as 4 months of age.
