Thanks for your reply. The wound seems to be healing even though it has only been 3 days. It doesn't look as raw as it did. He acts the same as he always did...not like he is in pain or I would have already taken him to the vet. I can't see letting an animal suffer.

We just call him "kitty". How original...right??

My dog just loves him and he keeps him company during the day. They chase each and play and then take a nap together. I have never seen anything like it before.
