Ok, so I'm the proud momma of 4 spoiled female ratties

hey are wonderful pets! Although you have to make sure you have ALOT of time for them. I can't even begin to tell you how much attention my 4 take! They need alot of out of cage time and they need tons of cuddling! I recomend starting off with 2 and then, if you want get another one or two, but I would not recomned starting off with more or less then 2 at the begging, just because you will be shocked when you get them about how much time they take up and how expesinsive they are
