Does anyone else have spay tattooes on their pets?

yeah, penny and clover has spay tats in there ears (a small circle with a line through it) and the 2 cats have the same tats in there ears also

but we requested not to have theodore (chihuahua) tattoed when he was neutered because it would ruin the look of his ears

may be able to see the tat in this pick of penny (in her left ear) it is standard practice and is done when still anethitised(SP?) so they dont feel it
