In fact, she is sitting on my lap right now!
Yes...my cat follows me, sleeps on my head, and jumps in my lap anytime I'm sitting down! 
No...my cat is very independent! He/She goes by their rules and goes where he/she pleases!
Sometimes...It depends on His/Her mood.
