What AM I doing wrong?! Mine are all in the bedroom, snug and warm, and they stay there until I walk in the room. Then a few will raise their heads and stretch out their necks looking for a bit of attention. Sam, my special cat, is in her big armchair waiting for me to kneel in front of her and give her fuss. The only time they mill around is when it's close to my going to bed and then they are all urging me on - get into bed and cuddle with me. I've got a bunch of lazy bed hogs, that's what it is.

Except for Nevermore, who does come to the door to greet me. This time last year he was roaming the streets of a nearby town, scrounging for scraps from which his digestive system still hasn't recovered. Now, he's my big gleaming boy who knows he'd rather be home than outside.

could you all give your welcome-home greeters some hugs, petting and lovies from us too, please.

I honestly think Buddy may have learned this from my Lab Casey before she went to the bridge. Buddy and Casey were best of friends and used to hang together. After Casey went to the Bridge, Buddy started displaying dog-like behaviors.

LOL @ your bunch of lazy bed hogs.

Bad A$$ Buddy hops up on the counter when I unlock the door. He'll stand up on his hind legs and put his front paws on my shoulders, and lick me. Of course TODAY was a different story...

I was carrying a 40 lb jug of cat litter in and he, unbeknownst to me, Buddy snuck out. I was going about my business when I noticed UtchieB at the door, scratching, which he never does. I opened the door and IN flew B.A.B., his tail all puffed out three times the size!!! It's a good thing my apt. door opens up to a hallway, or Buddy would be out in the cold for sure!

Rest In Peace Casey (Bubba Dude) Your paw print will remain on my heart forever. 12/02

Maya Linn, my heart is broken. The day your beautiful blue eyes went blind was the worst day of my life.I only wish I could've done something.I'll miss your "premium" purr and our little "conversations". 1997-2013 See you again "ONE FINE DAY"

Oh that stinker! My Buddy will try to get out as well. I have to be careful when I go in and out.

When I cat-sit Milo, he sometimes looks at the door like he knows what's out there and he might just try to make a run for it. Other times he doesn't bother to escort me to the door when I leave. My sister's RB Poco was very good at door-darting.
