I used several and my pee cats peed directly on the diffusers, which is why I started them on Clomicalm.

I always keep a spray can in the house. The diffusers I find, don't work as well as the concentrated spray. Bad @$$ Buddy had a behavioral issue when he first came to my house. He had been in 7 homes in a year and was confused about where he belonged. One full spray in the bathroom and he never peed anywhere again, but the litterbox!!!

    Catty1,

I never thought of squirting a little bit on the collar. Great idea!!!

Collar spraying great idea. They actually have a collar that releases slowly the product. Spray would be way cheaper. If it will help her adjust to the gang of 5 plus two dogs it's money well spent.

A couple of years ago, I was picking up some more from my vet, and he told me that the patent had expired on Feliway - meaning it was half the price it used to be! You can order it online inexpensively also.

I ordered from Revival and got it for $12.95 (spray) plus shipping which was way under what Petsmart & Dr's Foster/Smith were selling. It does pay to shop around

    FYI
I spoke with manufacture of Feliway. You can NOT put on a collar.

They do have $10 off coupons for the diffusers on their site.

Catty1 has been doing it safely for quite some time. Many vets also say that Clomicalm is for dogs and shouldn't be given to cats but my late vet recommended it to me for my pee cats and my present vet agrees that it's safe. My pee cats have been on it for 6 years now. However, if someone is too afraid to give the spray/collar or Clomicalm a try, then they should trust their feelings.

    Mary
