You're wanting to go to France when you live in one of my favorite parts of the UK. I was just looking at a map last night recalling to my wife a trip we made to the Brecon Beacons when we lived in the Netherlands. I love the beautiful country side in France, But I will take the people of Wales any day over the French. I guess you take what you have at home for granted and need a change of scenery.

Oh, you are so right. I am very proud to have been born and bred here in one the most beautiful lands in the world, but of which I have seen so little of beyond photographs. I plan to remedy that if and when I can drive, to take Bobby (God willing he is still with me) along and explore and view. (Snowdonia can equal the Brecon Beacons any day )

Staying anywhere for a month in the UK is too expensive, a similar place in France would be a quarter the cost for the same amount of time. Plus I think a interesting place to go for someone such as I who has never been beyond our shores.
