Yes, 14 or so women - and unprotected at that - is serious.

The spouse coming in to talk is part of the rehab program. He isn't just pleading love and I will never do it again...he's in a facility.

There will have to be a lot of counselling and follow-up. An addiction can be recovered from, but never cured. Trust has to be earned back, and it's a long process.

I wish them both well. This could still set an example for people.
