Thanks, and belated welcome! One of the first purebred Rotties I ever met when I moved to this city 20+ years ago was being walked on a nearby street in my neighborhood. I stopped, inquired and then spent a few minutes petting and chatting, and it wasn't until his owner and I went to part that he went "Boof!" and play-bounced at me. The owner ruefully rolled his eyes and said "You stopped petting him, that's all," and told the dog "No, we are going this way, and she's not, come on!"
