    Mr. BarKeep ~

I'll have the RaceTrack Platter, please.
    And a *COLD* Sam.

I know it's so much more fun when you catch the drivers saying something colorful. Even the radio station that broadcasts during the race if you have the channel you can hear them talking about what they're going to cover next between the commercial breaks. One time we were at either Pocono or Daytona and they were talking about a bunny crossing the backstretch during the race. I don't know if the bunny made it or not but I'm guessing it did because they never said anything durning the actual race broadcast.
RIP Lady, Thursday's won't be the same without you to cuddle with by the fire

You're at Watkins Glen? I love Watkins Glen, but not for the racetrack; my husband and I camped up there and went to wine country - great place!

Would an original 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang get you interested? My brother owns one. (dark blue w/ white rally stripe).

AAHHH!!! Do you know how much I love that car?? There were two of them that raced up and down the street in front of our house in Mystic, CT when I was a TAD younger and I fell in serious love with that car!

He's not that far from Watkin's Glen, he's east of it. Aunt Shirley lives west of it, and when we visited it as kids - LH was maybe 4 or 5, we walked down the Glen instead of up, as Charles - Aunt Shirley's husband, but he was always just Charles, not Uncles Charles - had emphysema and could not have managed the hike up. Ma was terrified of heights, so hugged the canyon walls all the way down, and our task, as the older kids, was to keep LH from careening over the edge!

I don't mind the Digger camera; I can't stand those stupid Digger cartoons! I miss Alan Bestwick and really do prefer the radio guys doing the commentary.

Time helps the sadness subside, but the memories remain forever.

That's why I listen to the radio broad cast while I'm at the race because usually my driver doesn't say that much (31 Jeff Burton) and neither does Fred's (5 Mark Martin) but when I go with my girlfriend her driver (Robby Gordon) gets very colorful on the radio.

I've only been to Busch/Nationwide races so far. But when I'm there, I listen to radio chatter in one ear and the radio broadcast in the other! At home, I usually have the TV on and Kasey's radio on one computer and the officials' channel on the a different computer. As much as I'd like to add the radio coverage and mute the TV, I thought that might be a bit over the top! I can only imagine Robby's radio!
