Happy Birthday to me :( (Dec. 3rd)

Ya, I'm not so sure we're going to remain best friends after this. She called me yesterday morning and I ignored her call. I don't want to speak with her. Anyway, I wish I could buy something nice for myself but money is tight right now what with Christmas right around the corner. Plus, I'm trying to pay off my debt, which was around $35,000! I only have THREE bills left to pay off and then I'll be debt free! This is a huge accomplishment for me. I was going to file for bankruptcy but now I don't have to. It's a nice feeling. The sucky thing is, it's all medical bills too. =/

I did spoil myself the other day by walking over to Scrap Happy. They're going out of business so everything is 20% off right now. I picked up a ton of cute scrapbooking supplies for super cheap!

I've never had a problem with it showing up on the birthday list before, so I don't think that's the problem. I do have my age information in Pet Talk, so I don't know.

Thank you though!!! I appreciate it. I think I just need to meet some new people. It's hard though, as I just don't have the energy anymore to go out to meet people, and really know no other way. Hopefully next year will be better.

Now that is totally weird. When I checked Dec 3rd b'days, you weren't listed, and your profile only said 30 with no d.o.b. I know I'm not losing my mind!!! Anyway - it's showing now. Maybe Karen could explain????

My dob was entered, but you can choose whether or not you display it publicly...the year. I still had it displayed, so it should have showed up. It's always been the same and has always shown up in the past. I have now edited it to list the actual day publicly (sp?) now. Maybe things have changed since the forum got updated?

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a lousy b-day. I thought that it was Dec.3rd because mine is Dec.4th. I also looked and your name wasn't on the Dec.3rd list the other day. I thought that maybe if people don't post very much that their names get taken off the list or something like that.

I know how you feel about being forgotten on your b-day. I also feel this way most years. I'm on FB and I have many people on my friends list that I don't really know too well because they're gamers. It's pretty sad when many of them wish you a happy b-day and then the people that I know better don't even acknowledge it.

Have you looked into groups with others who have Lupus, you might find some people there who understand better what you are going through. Try the local hospital, they might know of such things. Sorry you didn't get a birthday thread that day here - I have a friend who, leading up to December 3rd 20-something years ago plastered our campus with "December 3rd is coming " and "December 3rd - THE day!" and no one knew what it was about, until the actual day - he then came early and plastered the whole entrance of the building with "It's my birthday!" He is now married, father of three girls, and we've sort of lost touch, but I bet a lot of other people remember his birthday, too!
