Trapping them would make it easier to kill them.

Maybe the fly should be re-homed into a suitable adoptive family.

I've heard that tics and centipedes (thousand leggers) can withstand an atomic blast (not that I'd want to witness to that kind of test ).

I was amazed how fast the Prez was at swatting that sucker! I can spend an hour tracking one down. My John can get them in mid flight. Ick! Ick! Ick! They're disgusting.

They're kidding right? They should focus on more important things.

After it's spayed/neutered, microchipped, and ear-tipped (do flies have ears?).

They don't seriously think the President is going to use a fly live trap. What they want is exactly what they got - people talking about them, their name out there in the press and on the net. It's all about publicity, not the fly.

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien

You could clip it's wings, so it will just sit there, like a parrot.
Then you could have more interaction time with your family fly.

    Yes, quality time is important.

PETA needs to get a life and quit worrying about the germ infested flies.

Well, you wouldn't want it to just fly away, would you?

Perhaps a 'play pen' for the fly would work.

    LOL,

A more eco friendly solution would be a Venus Fly Trap?

That way the delicate chain of nature would not be interrupted?
