I won't argue that McCain's ads are very "negative". But WHY do they need to go 'negative'?

Could it be that the 'regular' media won't talk about Obama's negative aspects? Could it be that the media does Obama's dirty work for him?

I wonder what the result would be if we did a comparison of negative media stories about Obama as opposed to McCain.

Or to put it another way most of you here want to argue style over substance.

Do the right thing.... Don't vote for either one of these guys. Send a REAL message to DC.

Why do they need to go negative - I've been asking myself the same question. Are they afraid to stick to the issues, the economic mess? Whatever the reason, they are turning off many voters - and making themselves look foolish in the bargain.

Would it matter to you? If McCain went positive and only talked about the issues, could it change your mind?

But don't worry Grace. Unless BO makes a massive, earth shattering blunder, he is going to win. I just pray that my fear of just how massive Big Brother gets under him is wrong.

I think you are right, I think he is going to win. I might get flamed for this, which is why I haven't mentioned it before but I am scared of him winning. I don't want to be socialized. I admit that I think something needs done with the health care system, but I also like actually being able to get in to see a doctor. Also, DH and I work for small companies, and if I am not mistaken Obama will be putting large taxes on small companies. We're headed to a recession no matter who get in. It's a scary time, indeed.....

Not directly... He will heavily tax your suppliers.

He is your friend, until you make $250,000. Then you are the devil incarnate. He clearly does not like the American Dream.

Which will in turn drive up costs for the businesses, making it much more expensive to operate, causing layoffs at both of our companies. Oh, goody...

My company, (IT company, 7 employees, c. $2,000,000 in yearly revenue), is making plans for our product costs to go up. We are also making plans as to how to survive if we lose our line of credit with the bank.

Frankly, we can eat a little margin on product... As long as it does not get absurd. But if our bank closes our line of credit, for any reason... We would be in a pickle.

Our main supplier is Dell. I see two things happening in the near future for them. A.) Our prices won't change too much. We will still be able to obtain product at decent costs. BUT... B.) It will take longer to get the product because Dell will have to cut jobs to make it work for them. Also, suport will lag. We choose Dell for several reasons, but first is they have AWESOME Business to Business support. I get an english speaking person who does NOT just read me a flowchart, every time.

Well...it may be too late. The current administration is buying up companies and banks...isn't that "socialism?" ANYONE who gets elected must raise taxes. There is no other way out of the current mess. McCain wants to "buy up the toxic loans." More socialism. And he will do that without raising taxes?

    Silly man.

I read recently US medical care is 37th in the world but first in....cost. Some of the key measurements for quality of care are infant mortalityand maternal health. So we get lower quality care and pay more for it.

"Socialized" is one of those demon words that are used to frighten the population.

Oh I do know that taxes are going up no matter what. I know that they have to. I believe that about our health care system, I think it's out of control. Though I have no idea how it can be fixed...

It's working...it does scare me! Then again, I probably don't know much about it.

The mess that we are all in now has been a LONG time coming...and it will probably take a long time to get out of it. It's just scary to see where we are headed...

Would it change my mind about voting for him - no. Then again, I wasn't going to vote for him before he went negative. But it would change my mind about the man, John McCain. I once thought of him in a very positive way; now he makes me cringe.

What about you? Or do you enjoy all the negativity?

No, it would not change my vote. Negative, Positive, whatever... I cannot pull the lever for either one of them.

But my opinion/point about McCain going negative because he has too, to get the truth about Obama out, stands. If you do not think the media has a bias for anything left, you are just not paying attention.

    For instance...

    http://apnews.myway.com/article/20081011/D93O5M100.html

Something negative happens for the dems. The writer of this article goes out of their way to say, repeatedly, that Obama had nothing to do with this.

    BULLCRAP

BO is connected to Tony Rezko. Rezko is a slumlord and a substantial contributor to BO's campaign. Rezko also just happens to be in jail for extortion. And now singing because he wants out of jail....

Tony's wife, Rita Rezko. Rita is connected to BO's home in Chi-town. Not long after BO won his Senate seat, he bought a nice house in Kenwood, which is a upscale Chi-town neighborhood. BO paid les than asking price, but only after Rita bought an adjacent property, from the SAME SELLER. This is the "bone headed" deal BO talks about. RIGHTTTTTT. Bone headed because you got caught.

I wonder why you never hear about stuff like this?

Barack Obama is NO different that any other scumbag politician we are ever offered.

In the end, we will get the government we deserve... Because we ALL have become lazy and lost our way.
