Never had one either, but sure have read about it on here, remember David P having one, you should have given him a call, he sure can tell you all about it,well least i think that was the procedure if my memory does not fail me.

In NZ we are finally going to be able to get these as a regular check up just like cervical smears,it has been a long time coming and will be available in about five years, thank goodness, before you had to have something wrong and go to a specialist before you were able to get one.

I am thinking of you and wishing you the best, hoping the results are good and you are not to uncomfortable, take care, hugs.

donna, i had mine in oct 2007. i'm glad you're doing it. the prep for me was no big deal, just chemically tasting koolaid i told myself, the test it self was easy as could be. here's hoping you get a clean bill of health too. kind regards, joyce

Yep, I've had one. The prep is the worst part for sure as others have said. Since Donna has already started drinking the stuff, we won't be hearing from her for quite a while unless of course she has a laptop and is typing from the potty! You literally can't leave the bathroom!

Still alive and reporting from...you got it

    THE POTTIE!!!!

But I've got great company. Lil Rorie who we THOUGHT was a girl, is actually a boy (I forgot to look and she was too feral yesterday). He's purring like a kitten and playing with his toys. I'm almost done with the jug and will probably have a permanent toilet seat ring on my butt!!

I'm glad I'm doing this. The stuff really isn't that bad once you get used to it. I'll be curious to see if they find anything. I'm off from work tomorrow and Thursday and plan on having a nice dinner with my kid when this is all over.

Thanks for keeping me company guys!! The prep IS the worst.

Oh Donna, I feel your pain...literally. I just had one done last week

Luckily my prep wasn't near as bad as what you have to drink. Mine was just 1.5 oz of what tasted like salt water mixed with whatever drink I chose at night, then 1 oz the next morning.

I hope your appointment is early, mine wasn't until 2:15 in the afternoon
48 hours with no food makes one hungry!

    Good luck!

My mom had one not too long ago and she suggested starting a good book lol! She also had her birds to keep her company, along with encuraging bathroom noises. (I keep telling mom not to keep Scarlet, her African Grey, with in noise distance of the bathroom )
The worst part should be over for you now. *HUGS* and prayers that you get a clean bill of health!
Go enjoy a good dinner too

Hi, Carole. I've been calling Donna every day to give her encouragement and to tell her what I went through. As everyone said, the preparation is the worst and she's almost done with that part. HUGS to Donna!

My mom had one last week. She had to take a pill at 1pm the afternoon before the colonoscopy. But I think she did have to drink some stuff also.
