There was an update of sorts this morning & they are considering charges
against the boyfriend. What's the penalty for crazy?

They are now saying it was more than a month on the toilet & two yrs
that she hadn't left the bathroom. It does sound like she has a lot of
mental problems from an abusive childhood.

This story was bizarre. I bet the place had to stink considering she could not take a proper bath for that long. Sad, but bizarre.

I couldn't read much beyond the second paragraph. If there was a prize for crazy - they would win.

But really, it isn't funny - there should be a complete investigation into this..........my God - you leave her in the bathroom for TWO YEARS?

They had to take her to the hospital with the toilet seat attached?

    God help this woman!!

I think they both need to receive help. :/

I am guessing the man is probably just as mentally unstable as she is and they both need serious help.

I will have to see if I can find the link but I read one story about it saying that he brought her food and drink and he sponge bathed her because she refused to get in the tub.

I can see not calling for someone if she just wouldn't come out of the bathroom (especially if he is a little off himself) She was refusing help and perhaps he was just obeying her wishes who knows. I think they just need to get them both some mental help.

I read further in one of the articles, and she wasn't on the toilet for two years - but she had a phobia about coming out.

She would shower and change clothes and all - but wouldn't come out. It was the last 2 months or so she was actually on the toilet. I suppose the lack of hygiene then more than made up for the past 2 years.

Maybe he waited this long because he couldn't stand the smell any more.

But for two years? And in those two years did he not mention to anyone that he had a girlfriend in the bathroom who was refusing to come out? I can't imagine it not coming up somewhere in conversation in two years. For example, he is at the corner store buying two sodas, and the clerk says, two sodas? I thought you lived alone. His response is, No my girlfriend lives in my bathroom. Or if he is mentally handicapped in some way, I would think in that two year period he would have asked someone for some help or suggestions on what to do. He didn't mention it to anyone? That is odd.
