ok thanks you for all those responses, they were very helpful. next question:

"Do you know or have you tried any methods to prevent or treat hairballs in rabbits?"

Some other things about hairballs i would also like to is around what age they tend to get, or start getting hairballs? Does it differ between short and long haired rabbits?

REMEMBER: you can answer previous questions even after other questions have been posted.

I give my buns Payapa tablets which I order from Oxbow. They are a healthy, safe and yummy treat that is suppose to help to get rid of hairballs.

Miss Hoppy has never had a problem with hairballs, and she is ten years old. WHen she is going through "the big shed" a couple times a year, I make sure to pet her and "grrom" her every day, usually we go outside and the excess fur floats away on the breeze.

She has plenty of hay available at all times, too, which helps "sweep" the digestive tract clear ... and sweep is in quotes because she'll also nibble on the straw of the broom if given a chance.

ok well i dont need too much more info on hairballs cause there was another thread about it. still, if you have some, please post. ok next topic:

    Rabbit behaviour:

I am looking for things rabbits do, and what you believe it means. for example, boofy flops on the floor and goes to sleep, which means he is really happy and comfortable in his enviroment. if you can pics or you tube videos of your rabbit behaving a certain way, post them, or links to them as well.

My rabbits seem to be doing their own nails latley (they chew them down past the quick) they used to get done just whenever they were long.

Rabbits eat Timothy hay for hairballs.

My nephew's bunny Winston (RB) used to like to be out of his hutch on the carpet, but not on the floor. Rascal. He made me a bunny fan!
