I meant what religious function it serves. Obviously, not being of their faith, it is no different to me than any other bottle of water. But I am not going to shrug it off so quickly if it is something that would technically serve a function in their belief system.
Honestly, I wouldn't laugh at a Jewish person for paying more for a kosher food product just because the OTHER, cheaper product was just as good to me. Dunno.
