I have one in their litterbox room. Not a problem. It's not right beside the boxes, but it is in the same room. I have two with litterbox issues, one for health reason and one is purely behavioral. They both use the box more consistently with the Feliway throughout the house than they did previously.

I wish I could advise you, but I have never used Feli Way.

We keep a diffuser in our bedroom, which is where Abby spends much of her time. So, although it doesn't cover the whole house (not downstairs, for instance), it does still make a difference. We don't use it for aggression for Abby, but to stimuate her appetite. It does work for that. She gained a pound after we started using it.

But also, Becky, the little princess dear, does seem to be nicer lately, too! Even though she usually stays out of the bedroom because she hates Abby.

So I would say that you don't need to cover the whole house--just where he stays the most.

Here's an alternative thought...you could try Rescue Remedy, which is placed in their water. I haven't tried it, but others on Pet Talk have said it worked for their cats.

    Good luck!

Thank you ALL very much for your support and suggestions. I like the idea of the diffuser, and if Part 2 here doesn't work out, I'll go for it!

I went shopping today. Bought a REAL cat collar, quick release and all. It had been returned because it didn't fit, and was a basic black. I got it at a reduced price.

Basic black. Cool. I put it on Oscar, and no big problem. He seemed to KNOW something was different, but wasn't sure what. Basically he was totally fine.

Now...I didn't want to loop a small wad of towel on there. SO I took a very small square of towel, cut a small hole in it, quadrupled a piece of darning yarn(can't find my bias binding), put the yarn thru the hole, Put a shot of Feliway on the towel, and tied it around Oscar's collar. He freaked a bit...but I got it done.

He is really fine...the Feliway kicked in!

I hope this works, because stress can bring back his idiopathic cystitis.

    So far, so good.

    Thanks again all!
