    I am really surprised at the number of people who don't protect their
    dogs from heartworm infestation. The sad fact is they don't begin to show symptoms until the heart muscle is fully involved.This is a sad and
    painful way to die. I'd rather not guess that my dogs will not contract
    this horrible disease.
