My dad got the last remnants of his great-grandmother's coloring, his hair when he was young was the thick, glossy black, (started turning grey in his twenties) and he turns a lovely red-brown if he gets enough sun. I, alas, more inherited the Swedish and English coloring of the well-mixed gene pool - I BURN in the sun, and just get more freckles!
I also put other. I also fall into that pasty-white burn-in-the-sun girls. I usually say my skin is clear

I'm 1/16th Canadian Blackfoot. On my father's side of the family there is probably also some unidentified either Native American or African American blood.

My general feeling is that I can't claim one race. How can I just say that part of me doesn't exist? I like multi-racial the best for me.
